The CART tour goes through seven countries on a wide variety of different tracks. Some of the races are run on oval road courses while others wind through tight curves on temporary tracks set up in the middle of a city. One of the big challenges for CART racers is adapting their driving styles to the many different courses.
Most of the drivers on the CART tour wouldn't make very good basketball players or offensive linemen. The ideal driver has a small frame and is light so he can fit into the tiny cockpit of a race car. Most of the drivers are shorter than 5'10. The smallest guy is Cristiano da Matta who is just 5'4 and 130 pounds.
