With six CDs under his belt, Lenny Kravitz is definitely not the flavor of the month. After three years away from the stage he proves hes still got what it takes to pull off a great concert and rock a crowd!

Where: Vancouver, Canada
August 24, 2002

P!nk knows a good thing when she sees it. That's why she sent Lenny Kravitz a pair of custom made pink underwear that said "The Pink Lenny Tour 2002," with the hope of snagging the opening spot on his tour. I guess it was an offer Lenny couldn't refuse cuz P!nk kicked off the show wowing the crowd and pumping 'em up with her hit tune Get the Party Started. I think it may have been the first time some of Lenny's fans were exposed to Lenny took a moment to thank his opening act who he called "Sister Pink" which was pretty cute.

Whoever scored seats in the first few rows sure got their money's worth. A couple of times during the night Lenny freaked out security when he ventured right down into the crowd to mingle as a sea of hands practically swallowed him up. That was cool.

During the middle of the show, when Lenny Kravitz snuck off for a break, the crowd got a kick-butt drum solo by Lenny's drummer Cindy Blackman. Cindy's afro is even bigger than Lenny's and she's got a '70sLenny dug into the vaults with a few classic tunes like Rock and Roll is Dead, Let Love Rule and Are You Gonna Go My Way. Two of my fave songs of the night were Again and the rock anthem American Woman. The show ended with everyone flyin' high to the hit Fly Away, the perfect tune to end the show. Lenny Kravitz keeps on rockin' - even though he's 10 years into his career. If you ever get the chance to check him out - I suggest you DIG IN!
