Cowboys, Brooks & Dunn, are the best-selling country duo of all time and one of the most popular country groups of the 90s. They're best known for their honky-tonk and wild country music.

Leon Eric "Kix" Brooks III was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana while Ronnie Gene Dunn was born and raised in Coleman, Texas. At the age of 12, Brooks made his first singing performance and continued to sing in clubs and venues throughout high school. Brooks also started to write some songs. Ronnie Dunn's father had been a bass when he was in high school. Originally Dunn wanted to become a Baptist preacher but started feeling very ionate about music and began playin' gigs in honky-tonk bars. Eventually he won a talent contest, which took him to Nashville where he would soon meet Brooks.

Both Brooks and Dunn started out as solo country artists and remain one of the top country acts.
