The D&D Miniatures game just rebooted! It has new 4e rules designed to make it faster and easier to play. There's a new Starter Set and the new Dungeons of Dread set with 60 new [KWLINK ]monsters[/KWLINK] to command. So, how does it add up? Here's our review.

The basic game still lets you and your Saruman eat them all?!? The new starter is great for new players, but if you don't need the maps you can just the rules and you're fine. Here they are, right-click this link and save them to your computer.

  • Four really nice battlefields.
  • You get a dragon!
  • Handy to have the new rules book.
  • Thumbs Down:

  • Nothing to store your miniatures in.
  • No orcs or goblins? What's the snake thing?!?
  • Rating: 4video game bosses! It's a fantastic first set for the game - a bit heavy on evil figs, but with a great selection of warriors and monsters.

    Thumbs Up:

  • Almost no useless warriors!
  • Some awesome monsters - like the red dragon!
  • The new boxes are good for storing minis.
  • Big monsters that battle like video game bosses!
  • Thumbs Down:

  • The really big monsters aren't that strong.
