An inscription on the inside of the Easy liner notes says “Small seeds grow big trees” and it’s signed by Saki—Skidoo’s five-year-old daughter and fellow MC. Saki proves hip hop is in her blood by keeping up with her dad and throwing down some rhymes on the infectious track, Family Tree. Skidoo does like to keep it in the family. After years touring as a hip hop MC, he realized he wanted to make a family-friendly hip hop album that kids and parents could enjoy together and he's certainly done that with Easy.

Easy is good at imparting wisdom without bashing you over the head with lessons. The messages are positive but the medium is infectious, reggae-infused melodies, so you’re more likely to listen. Gotta Be Me preaches the importance of difference. It’s awesome to be yourself and sometimes it’s cool to be weird! Mysterious and New Day remind the audience to keep its eyes open to the small things in life that make it worth living. Easy is an album that's all about living it up while appreciating what you’ve got.
