If you’re looking to get fit Nintendo Wii-style, check out Your Shape Featuring Jenny McCarthy. And read our review to find out what makes this exercise program different from the rest.

If you’re looking to exercise programs: it uses a USB camera and no controllers and features Jenny McCarthy as your instructor (which is kind of weird; we never thought of Jenny as a fitness guru).

Muscle Modes f2r5e

So many options. You can do a normal workout or customize it to be just about anything. There are over 400 exercises in the game. When you choose your workout you can set how long you want to exercise for and even what part of the body you want to focus on: shoulders, chest, arms, glutes, back, abs and legs. Then you can choose between one to three styles of exercise: Burn, Strength Training and Toning. The game even lets you incorporate things like hand weights, if you have them. If not, don’t worry about it.

You can also unlock extra challenges, do a daily workout challenge, get credit for outdoor activities you might have done or choose one of four special challenges, like Get Bikini Ready New Year’s Resolution and Free Your Mind (the last one is yoga).

Physical Play 4m161x

Your Shape uses no controllers; it’s just you, a workout mat (if you want) and the USB camera. When you start the game the camera scans you in as a sort of avatar of yourself, which helps the game suggest exercises just for your body type and fitness goals. Through the camera the game picks up your movements and responds with advice and scoring you for accuracy – this is how the game is able to tell you whether or not you are doing each exercise correctly, so you don’t injure yourself.

We liked this exercise program because it really makes you break a sweat, which means it must be working! In fact, a 15 minute workout with Jenny will burn about 200 calories!
