Shenae got her start acting in commercials but quickly scored a recurring role as Arden Allcott on the Degrassi: The Next Generation. Shenae impressed the crew and her role was soon expanded so that her character, Darcy Edwards, became a lead in the series.

Since Degrassi, Shenae’s landed a career-defining role as Annie Wilson in the CW remake of 90210. Shenae says Annie is “the most centered person at West Beverly. Everyone gives her grief, but she ends up bringing them all down to earth.” As for the show itself, Shaenae says she signed on for the remake because it’s “not as amazingly cheesy as the old one.” She says the new 90210 is “so real” with issues that “hit harder and closer to home.”
Shenae’s character, Annie, is based on Brenda Walsh from the original 90210. Shenae sees a lot of similaries between the two. Both are the “an interest in musical theater.” “She seems to have a pretty sophisticated sense of right from wrong,” Shenae says.
