We love the Eighties! The crazy clothes, the big hair, the shoulder pads and the bright pink lips and blush paired with teased hair.
A good rule to about experiment with colour.
Bright eyeshadow 323sb
You can wear this look night or day - just use a lighter hand for daytime. Anything goes and all that is needed is a bright eyeshadow and an eyeshadow brush. Apply to your eyelid and gently blend it out a little bit so it fades out as it gets further away from your eyelashes. You can also take a small pointed eyeshadow brush and lightly smoke the same colour underneath your eye for a bolder look or for evening.
Neon lips 2x6k18
They key to getting this look right is well-moisturized lips. You definitely don't want bright neon-hued lipstick sitting on chapped lips! You can go orange, pink or red and any shade in between. You can tell it's bright enough if it's a true orange, pink or red - there should be no brownish undertones and it should definitely not look "natural". To get a really cool 80s look, pair neon lips with some brightly coloured eyeliner!
Coloured eyeliner a10c
Brightly coloured eyeliner looks just as 80s as bright eyeshadow but is slightly more subtle. It's best to pick a kohl eyeliner as they are much smoother and easier to glide on than other pencils. A gel eye-liner and brush also is better than just a regular pencil and gives you an added bonus of making the line as thick or as thin as you like!
Doll face blush 5o1o52
Blush was worn to be seen in the 80s and was often worn in "racing stripes" on the cheeks. A bright pop of colour in a peachy orange or pink is perfect for achieving this look. If you layer cream blush under powder blush, the colour will look even bolder and the added bonus is that it stays on longer too!
