Hannah Kearney won America’s first Gold Medal of the Vancouver Olympics. She took first place in the Women's Moguls event, beating out Canada's Jenn Heil, who took the Silver Medal. Shannon Bahrke, also from the US, took the Bronze Medal.

Swiss ski jumper Simon Ammann landed the first of the 86 Gold Medals to be awarded during these Games. He won two gold medals in the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, when he looked a lot like Harry Potter!

Slovakia’s Anastazia Kuzmina won the Women’s 7.5-Kilometer Biathlon Sprint. She then hit nine of 10 shots (biathlon involves cross-country skiing and target or shooting practice) and finished in 19 minutes, 55.6 seconds.

Lots of people don't agree with the Olympics and are holding protests and rallies throughout the Games. On Saturday, protesters with the Olympic Resistance Network shattered three plate-glass windows and splattered more with red paint in the front of Olympic Superstore in downtown Vancouver.

About 32.6 Million People watched Friday’s Opening Ceremony - 48% more than the last Winter Olympics - making it the most-watched program ever in Canada.
