variation of the Bejeweled game. It's a bit slow-paced, but there is lots of different things to do and you won't be bored.Battling involves matching three of a kind to charge up mana for spells or matching skulls for a direct attack. You can also match gauntlets for action points that allows you to equip and use items. Looting involves matching 4/5 together to make treasure chests. Breaking down a door involves creating door gems and then matching them to wear down the door.

Controls for the DS is still only touch screen based, which means you might still do a move by accident. Thankfully, there is no longer any punishment for making a bad move. Local multiplayer is back, but without much change. The graphics for the game is a bit low in definition, which is disappointing. But the biggest complaint is the lag and saving. After everything you do, the game will automatically save and this can get annoying really fast.
Overall, however, Puzzle Quest 2 is still a fun game and incredibly great to take on the go.
