NHL Slapshot comes with one plastic hockey stick that you put the wiimote and nunchuk into. You use the nunchuk to move your player and aim your Face-offs, dumping and shooting the puck, dekeing, and even body checking are done with real motions. You can even do tricks like a spinorama to get around defenders. There will be times when the controls might frustrate you, but overall they respond fairly well. If you do a real beauty of a slapshot, you might even set the puck on fire!

NHL Slapshot features four levels of play, from the young Peewees to the big time pros. You can play as the great one, online feature for the game. Also, when you get tired of playing hockey, it can be annoying to get your wiimote out of the plastic stick. Still, Slapshot is a simple and fun game that does well as a standalone hockey game.
