There is so much more than the standard witch or black cat - dress up as a Harajuku Girl, Lady GaGa, a cute Eskimo girl, a Crayola crayon or a 1950s style girl - it’s as easy as popping to the mall to pick up your costume. Let’s face it though, as much as we love Halloween, we don’t want to spend a fortune on a costume we will most likely only wear once - so most of the costumes we’ve featured here are under $50! That way there is bound to be some money left over to buy some of that post-Halloween sale chocolate and candy! Yet another reason why we love Halloween!

A great way to heighten the drama of your costume is with makeup. You don’t have to buy a professional theatrical makeup kit - just some creativity with your makeup kit and maybe some face paint if necessary and you can create your own look! If you’re Cleopatra, draw some dramatic black cat’s eyes with liquid black liner, bright pops of eyeshadow if you’re a Harajuku girl or a Crayola crayon and some pale pink lipstick and big false eyelashes if you’re a 1960s Hippie Girl! The more dramatic your makeup, the better! Have fun!
