The game is very straightforward. The player chooses from 30 different songs from past Glee episodes and uses the included microphone to follow along. Songs that are featured on the game include: “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Gold Digger,” “Hate On Me,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” “Push It” and “Somebody To Love.” You earn points when you sing well, and get a list of songs (Mercedes and Rachel both have 10 songs, while all the other characters have less). In Quick Play mode, the player can choose any song in the game.
Regardless of the mode, each song has a video that plays along onscreen behind the lyrics. The videos contain scenes from the show that relates to the specific songs, as well as unseen footage. This aspect adds a lot of depth to the game and makes the player feel like they are really singing along with the characters.
Glee Karaoke Revolution reunites Glee fans with their favorite characters and songs from season one, while providing hours of entertainment and singing. If you’re feeling really competitive you can even go head-to-head with friends in multiplayer and see who the real Gleek is.
