In Pictionary Solo mode, the player must make their way around the Pictionary board. A sketch is drawn, and the player must select the corresponding clue. If correct, they can advance on the board. If incorrect, players receive a strike. After three strikes the game is over.

In and Play mode, players can compete in teams. One member of the team is the picturist, and they use clues to create drawings. The remaining players must guess the clue. The first team to reach the end of the board and complete the last square’s clue wins!

In Pictionary Quizmode, players compete against themselves to see how quickly they can guess the clue for the corresponding sketches. Players can race to 10, 20 or 30 correct answers as quickly as possible.

The game has a dictionary of set words that players are allowed to choose from. If the word you are looking for is not there, it can be frustrating. Overall, Pictionary on the DS is not as enjoyable as playing the real thing. However, the game is a good alternative if you are going on vacation or will be traveling for long periods of time. Because of the three levels of difficulty, this game is accessible for players of all ages.
