American Idol Season 10 Auditions :: February 2 574t5s

Feb 03, 2011

On the third week of auditions, the cowboys in Austin. But they did have trouble finding cowboys that can sing.

Audition #5: Austin 6y2w2w

An inseparable young couple, Jacqueline and Nick, stood in front of the judges together. (Nick, with his unnaturally big smile, looked like a young Leonardo DiCaprio). Both sang beautifully individually, and the judges sent them to Hollywood.

One promising cowboy had the good looks, good values, a good voice and...a great name—John Wayne Schulz. He had no trouble convincing the judges that he deserved a golden ticket.

Ryan Seacrest was surprised to find a 17 year old Idol contestant tear up for his sake. Courtney Penry’s crush on Ryan had her blubbering like a baby. But that didn’t stop her from earning a free trip to Hollywood.

The Austin auditions ended on a very strong note when Seth Rogen look-a-like, Casey Abrams, busted out an unassuming voice that had the judges on their feet dancing. His unique voice will definitely take him far in the competition.

Audition #6: Los Angeles ck49

LA is a place where stars are born. A place where hopeful musicians and actors go to get their big break. So it surprised the judges when most of the contestants turned out to be delusional wannabes rather than talented singers. Only a few who auditioned made it through to Maroon 5 song; and two brothers who sang a beautiful duet. The bad auditions made the most impact on this episode. Especially Tynisha Roches, who arrived with her own microphone and wound up chasing Randy Jackson around the audition room. Psycho? We think so!
