The game begins with a familiar character, Issun the flea, meeting Chibi for the first time. Unlike Amaterasu, who had lost her powers in Okami and had to regain them, Chibi doesn't know any of his powers and needs to learn them from Issun and other characters.
Though he is smaller, Chibi can do basically everything his mother can. This includes physical fighting and using the brush to summon the sun or chop down trees. The brush controls are excellent, working really well with the touch screen. Moving around in 3D takes some getting used to, it would have been fantastic to play this game on the 3DS, especially since the artwork is so beautiful.

The story in puzzles, and awesome bosses are still there. The game can be slow at times, but it's almost always worth it.
