Season 6 of America’s Got Talent kicked off with auditions in Los Angeles and Atlanta, where judge Sharon Osborne itted they found the most talented group of people ever! Episode 1 aired on May 31, 2011!
Audition #1: Los Angeles 6s192f
First, judges Sharon Osborne, Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel hit the city where stars are born - Las Vegas.
Next, we met 34-year-old Ryan Andreas, who was sent straight to Vegas after performing a beautiful version of In The Arms of an Angel while playing the juggler named Frank. Only instead of using Howie as an armrest, Frank juggled three 500,000-volt stun guns while standing in a tub of water! Yikes! One mistake and it could have been lights out for Frank.
Audition #2: Atlanta k2h5f
Atlanta delivered tons of amazing talent, including the Miami All-Stars, a dance group of 24 who stunned the judges with their swift and synchronized choreography. We also met the Sh’Boss Boys, a 5-, 6- and 7-year-old trio who rapped about doing well in school.

There were, of course, some mishaps that caused one 50-year-old dancer to fall off the stage. Then came the husband and wife sword fighters who impressed Piers but not the other two judges.
Finally, a dance group called Illuminate wrapped up the show with something the judges having never seen before. A female dancer and software programmer designed a technology that played with lights on the dancers' costumes. The room was pitch-black during their audition, save for the fascinating combination of lights that were controlled by the creator off-stage. Here’s a clip of their performance to give you a better idea of what we’re talking about:
