This week, Los Angeles. Episodes 2 and 3 aired on June 1, 2011 and June 2, 2011. Check out our recap right here in Kidzworld!
Audition #3: Salt Lake City 2i3z4c
Robin Anton, creator of the Las Vegas.
We also met Samantha Hiller, who is suffering from amnesia after hitting her head only three weeks ago. She may have forgotten that she loved SYTYCD, but she didn’t forget how to dance. Her performance landed her a spot in the choreography round.
Audition #4: New York City 5oi5i
In the Big Apple, we met some crazy characters with crazy talent. First up was Princess Lockeroo, whose style of dance was called “waacking.” Waacking involves a lot of arm spinning and moving to the beats and rhythms of the music. Her performance was unique enough to wow the judges and earn her a ticket to Vegas.
In krumper named Brian “Hollow Dreams” Henry, who put down Lil’ C and SYTYCD winner Russell before showing the judges what he was made of. Be careful what you say, Brian, or your dreams will never be more than hollow!
Jess LeProtto on So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 6q6y59
Audition #5: Los Angeles 4k503d
In LA, the 18-year-old, self-proclaimed “nice girl” Jordan Casanova delivered a hot, hot, HOT performance to Naughty Girl by Beyonce. She was so hot that Nigel was afraid to comment in fear that he might look like inappropriate. Instead, he gave her a golden ticket.
Derion Chapman stunned the judges with his performance - not that they could define his routine as a certain style. But Mary Murphy said it was the most entertaining thing she’d ever seen (which was a total overstatement).
We also met SYTYCD winner Jeanine Mason’s little sister Alexis, a breakdancer that you would have sworn was a boy if her name wasn’t Patty Anne, and Hero McRae, another female breakdancer who arrived from Japan only four years ago. She knocked the judges’ socks off with both her English and her moves!
