Small Town Living 6a4l29
After the death of his mother, high school senior Ren MacCormack leaves his big city life in dating an older (not to mention creepy) guy. But Ariel is attracted to Ren, and as their relationship grows, Ariel’s ex-boyfriend isn’t the only one standing in their way. Ariel’s father is the town reverend, and he wants Ren to stay away from his daughter. A few mishaps with the law put Ren in his bad books.
The Petition 4e
Ren decides to start a petition in order to abolish the public dancing law. Despite his inspirational speech at the town meeting and hundreds of signatures, Beaumont’s authorities refuse to give in. But that doesn’t stop Ren. His boss at the cotton gin, which is located just over the border in the next town, offers his business as the location for the senior prom. So the senior class of Beaumont gets their prom after all. But will the reverend ever realize that Ren isn’t such a bad guy?
The Bottom Line y58e
Footloose offers a great plot and catchy music! If you see it in theatres, make sure you wear your dancing shoes because you’ll be ready to move when you walk out the doors!
