Returning to the tribe of toe-tapping penguins in Happy Feet Two, we see that Mambo (voiced by actor Elijah Wood) is all grown up, and has a son of his own, Erik. But Erik isn’t quite like the rest of the penguins in his tribe - while they like to fandango on floating ice, Erik doesn’t like to dance at all. In fact, he’s enthralled by a penguin outside of the cult, The Mighty Sven (Hank Azaria). Sven is renowned for his ability to fly and has his own cult-like following, and Erik runs away from the tribe to follow Sven. But in a twist of fate, The Emperor Nation (which means Erik’s whole family) is trapped on an Happy Feet may find the plot slightly familiar to the first one. All in all, it’s a fun musical romp with a great environmental message and amazing animation featuring some of the animal kingdom’s most lovable arctic fowl.
