Diana is back at the NY Spectator, and she’s even taken over Nate’s office. Lola isn’t too pleased that Nate's beautiful ex-girlfriend is in such close proximately. Meanwhile, Lola is entertaining a cute male friend of hers from back home, and Nate is jealous.

Serena plans to turn Gossip Girl back over to its original owner. But she has one more thing to do first. She wants out of the spotlight so she can reinvent herself as a new, more sophisticated Serena van der Woodsen. So she tries to make Lola take her place.

At Diana Payne’s “Down to Your Skivvies” party, Lola and Nate secretly work together to make Diana look like a child molester when she makes out with Lola’s 16-year-old friend. But the plan backfires when Serena discovers their plan. She’s offended that Lola used her to get to the party. Little does Lola know that Serena was using her too. Eventually, Lola decides that maybe she does want to be an It Girl after all, but not the unattainable kind like Serena is. She wants to be relatable - an “every girl.” She’s smarter than Serena ever expected.

Meanwhile, Blair hesitates about g her and Louis’ divorce papers because she never really got the true princess experience she always dreamt of. Dan thinks her hesitation is because Chuck paid her dowry, and when he confronts her, she’s shocked and angry, assuming that Chuck is trying to buy her love.
