There were some mixed emotions about the first group to audition this week. The Flyte Cru performed basketball stunts that, while impressive, were not the most original. The judges were split with their feelings, but ultimately, it was two against one and The Flyte Cru was sent to Las Vegas.

In New York, we also met 7-year-old rapper Mir Money, who Howard Stern made cry when he buzzed him; 25-year-old Horse, who broke wooden slabs and cement blocks with his man parts (ouch!); and 77-year-old rapper Burton Crane, whose catchy song had the crowd singing.

But the most impressive act of the night had to be Olate Dogs, which included father and son trainers and a collection of very talented pooches. Not only did they perform the conga, walk on their front and hind legs and back flips! Howie itted that Olate Dogs was the best animal act he’d ever seen!

The judges kicked off day 2 with a few more slightly less outstanding performances in the Big Apple. Some of the highlights included John Pizzi, a comedian/ventriloquist who used a screen with the judges faces instead of a puppet; acrobalance team Donovan and Rebecca, whose upper body strength is out of this world; Tom Cotter, whose stand up comedy act had all the judges laughing; and 22-year-old Stepz, who proved his worth with some amazing dance moves. Even though Howard couldn't see a million dollar act in Stepz, Sharon and Howie gave him the two yeses he needed to earn that golden ticket.
