When her parents are murdered, Tandy takes it upon herself to find the murderer, even if it’s one of her brothers…or herself. Kidzworld reviews Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson.

Death In The Family 2o726l

The Angel family has always been a little strange. They have a “hyperrealism” taste in décor, they’re fabulously rich and the children have abilities that border on superpowers. But when the parents - Malcolm and Maud - are murdered in their bedroom, the children become the prime murder suspects.

Suspected of Murder 2t4m5

Their only daughter Tandy is determined to find out who killed her parents. She plays emotional and artistically gifted twin brother who was looked down on by their parents; or could it be her younger brother Hugo, who has a physical strength well beyond his age; or was it Samantha, her mother’s live-in assistant, who knows far more about the family than she should.

Forgotten Memories 3j6y39

As Tandy investigates those inside and outside of the house, she discovers that there are many people with a motive for murder. Meanwhile, she’s starting to snippets of her past that were somehow removed from her memories…memories of being in love.

The Bottom Line y58e

Confessions of a Murder Suspect is great teen murder mystery told from the perspective of a suspect. With large font and short chapters, it’s a fairly quick read. This book may conclude, but James Patterson leaves many loose ends, which will undoubtedly lead to a second book.
