Dixon is struggling with his disability, so Annie brings him to group therapy hoping that discussing his emotions will help him cope. But when Dixon learns that the father of a girl in his group was the truck driver that hit his car, he freaks out and leaves. Annie goes searching for him, but it's his physical therapy mentor who finds him and encourages him to drop the poor me act.

While Max is out of town, Naomi sets up a lunch date with his best friend, Alec, hoping to win him over. Everything seems to be going well until Alec kisses her. She debates whether or not to tell Max. Meanwhile, we find out that the kiss was set up and photographed making it look as though Naomi was the one who initiated it.

With Vanessa missing, Liam is morally torn. He didn't report her fall over the balcony and now the cops are searching for her. If he comes clean now, he could be charged for manslaughter. But the burden becomes too much. When he goes to confess to the police, they tell him that she's a con artist and that Vanessa isn't even her real name.
