Old fashioned grandfather Artie (Billy Crystal) is accustomed to calling the shots, but he meets his match when he and his eager-to-please wife Diane (Bette Midler) agree to babysit their three grandkids when their business-focused parents (Marisa Tomei, Tom Everett Scott) go out of town. In this family fun comedy 21st century problems collide with Artie and Diane's old school methods of tough rules, lots of love and old-fashioned games, it's learning to bend - and not holding your ground - that binds a family together.

Parental Guidance is a sweet, fun family comedy with a few laughs and sitcom-esque gags packed in, but despite its all-star cast it isn’t the most memorable family comedy out there. Parental Guidance isn’t a must-own movie, but if you’re looking for something to relax to that the whole family can watch then it might have a place in your collection.
