When Larissa invites Carrie to a VIP release party for Madonna's "Like a Virgin" single, Carrie hopes it will be the perfect night for her and Sebastian to have sex. But things go wrong as soon as they arrive. Larissa forgets to put Sebastian on the guest list so Carrie is forced to leave him outside the VIP section in order to find him a VIP bracelet. Then, after Carrie promises to spend time with Sebastian, Bennet asks her to get a quote from the songwriter, potentially earning her a byline in the magazine. Carrie apologizes incessantly to Sebastian, which winds up annoying him. As they leave, they have a fight that leads to their break up.

Meanwhile, Dorrit appears to have changed her ways, as least with her wardrobe and make-up. And it's all because of Miller, the boy from the record store. Like Carrie, she decides that the time is right to lose her virginity, but of the two, it looks like the younger sister was the only one to follow through on her plan.

While Mouse attempts to become number one in her class by g up for tons of extracurriculars, West is more concerned with winning Mouse's affections. He shows up at every one of her clubs, tempting her with his irresistable charm. At one point, Mouse gives in and they make out in a classroom. But Mouse pulls herself together, ing that the last time she fell for a guy, her grades slipped. Luckily, West proves that he can be her ally by impressing a teacher who then offers to write college recommendation letters for both of them.

At the same time, Carrie's father, Tom, is trying to carve out time for some frisky business of his own. But it's tough being a single dad and dating a single mom. When Tom spends the night at his new girl's house, he runs into her son in the hallway...while he's naked! The son doesn't seem bothered by it, but Tom is disgusted that his girlfriend would have a man spend the night with her kid in the house.
