A snowball fight sounds pretty fun, right? But what if it actually snowballs into a bigger fight? Check out the Kidzworld review of SNOWTIME!
the fight is on.Sophie and her cohorts put their all into defending an elaborate snow fort against the assault of Luke’s horde. Whichever side occupies the fort at the end of the winter break, wins. But what starts out as pure fun soon turns into a serious fight, where the kids of the town learn valuable life lessons about friendship, the importance of unity, and the emotional consequences of vicious rivalry. The film’s underlying message – neither side wins in war – is as relevant today as ever.
Based on the acclaimed live-action film classic La Guerre des Tuques (The Dog Who Stopped the War), SNOWTIME! is a cinematic adventure about hope and friendship.

The Bottom Line y58e
For a generation of watchers who are used to the sophisticated and realistic animation style of PIXAR and other leaders in today's animation, SNOWTIME! will either seem hopelessly cute (and maybe dated), or it'll come as a breath of fresh air to see a style of animation that embraces a look that's so different than the today's norm. Either way, the Canadian film studio has produced something visually arresting, it's a major change to see something so quaint and different in today's see of computer-generated animation.
The story itself isn't overly complicated, and comes with the time-honored message of non-violence and anti-war. I mean, who wants to lose their friends over a snowball fight? No matter how epic, that just isn't worth it! This movie is a good choice for younger viewers, and parents will undoubtedly be nostalgic for a time when animated films were a lot simpler.
