Spider-Man and Spyro Releasing in September 333y2u

Apr 05, 2018

By: Max Cannon

Nearly two years ago we posted an article with the headline "Sony's E3 2016 Press Conference. Well, this year we're able to start the hype early with a similar story about the confirmation of release dates for both Spider-Man and Spyro the Dragon.

Spider-Man Swings Into September 1h1u1l

Game Informer's May Issue is focused around the  Spider-Man title for the PS4 with a slew of exclusive reveals including the announcement of the September release date. While that date is definitely exciting, especially on top of the other awesome PlayStation exclusives, the thing that has most players excited is the month of more content and news about what to actually expect from the game. New videos of swinging, fighting, and shooting webs are accompanied by interviews from the team over at Insomniac Games.

The thing that has players like myself most excited though was the announcement of that September 7th release date, meaning that we'll be playing that game in less than 6 months. Spider-Man seems to buck the trend of the typical news cycle for games where we see so much content that once the game is released it feels like we know everything about it. Aside from last year's demo at the close of superhero game. Personally, this has me excited because it means that the game has plenty of surprises to be saved up for release.

Spyro Returns 276u5

Though last year's unlike Crash, it seems like this PS1 remaster doesn't have any plans for the Nintendo Switch. If you have the N. Sane Trilogy ready to play on your PS4 then you may notice a special easter egg to see the new trailer. The original Spyro's demo was hidden behind a secret code in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, if you put that code in on the remaster then you'll be taken to a video for the new trailer. Lucky for our readers, we did the work for you and you can check out the new trailer below.

This trilogy includes the first three Spyro games for PS1 for the price of 39.99 when it releases on September 21st. Once again similar to Crash, this title was remade from the ground up and uses original assets. Though Crash was remastered/remade by Vicarious Visions, Spyro is helmed by the Toys For Bob team. A big month for Insomniac Games who were the original team behind Spyro the Dragon with both this and Spider-Man releasing just a mere two weeks apart from each other.
