Star Wars, but LEGO The Incredibles is the first time that a Pixar-title has gotten the LEGO treatment.

LEGO The Incredibles retells the story of both the 2004 original film and the recently released sequel, so if you haven't seen either film it's in your best interest to check the movies out before picking up this game. The story isn't exactly a one-to-one translation, so there will be a few surprises that weren't in the source material, but the basic story beats are identical. The lovable characters that make up the Parr family and their friends (and enemies) make up a cute cast.

Voice actors do a great job, specifically because their lines may be pulled right from the film, but that's much more effective than re-recording some similar sounding dialogue that just feels a bit off. The game's visuals are fine but it felt like a little bit of a step-down from The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game which impressed me in a way that I didn't think a LEGO game could. Not to downplay the art style of LEGO The Incredibles, the game definitely does the job, but something feels a bit off in comparison.
Despite opening with the sequel, LEGO The Incredibles retells the first film as well.

Most of the LEGO games play pretty identically but give you a new franchise to run around in. The games are always simple and centered around smashing bricks, building structures, and collecting everything in sight. Each character has special abilities and can interact with specific objects in the game, Mr. Incredible can't even begin to understand computers so you'll need to call in the Mrs. for some help.
You'll spend most of the story controlling the 4 main of the family.
Where LEGO The Incredibles feels different than other entries is in how painfully simple the game's puzzles are. If you're playing cooperatively with the most inexperienced of gamers then you can easily be their guide in the game, but a player that has tried out a handful of games may find this title frustratingly easy even if they're of the youngest of gamers. Running around the open world areas that are separate from the main story is an interesting distraction and the place where the LEGO charm will hit you with full force.
The game's open enviornments are where the game is at its most charming.

If you love The Incredibles then the latest LEGO game will certainly satisfy. It's an easier title than most LEGO games, and that's really saying something, but it's a great excuse to play around with Pixar's superhero family. And LEGO games remain the best cooperative experience to bridge the gap between younger and older players.
