summer 2019. "Cross Me" feat. Chance the Rapper & PnB Rock is another high energy earworm.Who Are the Collaborations With? 2039g
Ed Sheeran is no stranger to partnering up with other musicians to form some blindingly bright star power. He’s famously friends with Camila Cabello (fresh off a steamy duet with Shawn Mendes) and Cardi B take track two "South of the Border" with some pipes in the background.
"Cross Me" and "Take Me Back To London" pick up the energy for a couple songs before Sheeran slows down the pace for his classic sound and contemplation of love and relationships on "Best Part of Me".
Then we get into the superstar-studded portion of the album with potential song of the summer "I Don’t Care" with Justin Bieber, relatable topics on "Antisocial" with Travis Scott, and some Sheeran rapping on " the Name" feat. Eminem and 50 Cent.
Sheeran climbs to a rock’n’roll finale with "BLOW" feat. Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars that’s a watered-down tribute to rock days of the past.
With songs from stars in every genre of music, the album is about as cohesive as you’d expect. With that being said, every track is a surprise and there are few albums that run such a span of pop-mixed styles. It makes for a fun rollercoaster of a ride punctuated by the vocal drop-ins of at least one artist you’re sure to love.
