Somebody pinch me! I snagged some talk-time with a very busy Taryn Manning! Boomkat's singing sensation has been hopping all over the US promoting the CD Boomkatalog One with her big bro Kellin. Taryn and I chatted about the album, being famous and music in general. Check it out peeps!
Sindy: Hey Taryn! I know you've been super-busy promoting Boomkatalog One, and it's your first time doing this sorta thing. Is it easier or harder than you thought it would be? 1y3s6x
Taryn: When you're just starting to come up, and you're still introducing yourself to people and trying to get people to listen to your stuff, it's not the most glamorous part of the business. People think it's all just fun and games but it really is a lot of hard work.Sindy: Which is harder - doing the acting thing or doing the Boomkat thing? 5l2d64
Taryn: It depends. This part - when you're driving all day or flying and going around to all these radio stations and basically... well, kinda kissing butt - it can be very hard. Kellin and I like to be nice people. We like to show we're tangible so the radio station actually cares when they play our stuff. We want them to be like, "We like these people." But, it's not always easy and it's not glamorous.With write a song - that's the glamorous part.
