Paper Mario Sound Effects The sound's pretty good. It's all MIDI music so it's just basic tunes, but they're well done. There are some items you can get that let you play with the sound effects. If you don't like the way things sound, toss on a magic badge and it'll change some tunes.
Paper Mario Fun Stuff The best part of Paper Mario isn't the graphics or sound, it's everything else. The story is pretty cutesy, but fun and the action is good. 'Action Commands' let you score extra damage if you're on the ball. Teammates back you up with lots of extra powers and there are hidden power-ups to give your attacks a real boost. You have total freedom to explore from one end of Mario's world to the other and do whatever you want: play games, raise animals, even cook. On the down side it's pretty cutesy. If you can't stand cutesy, consider yourself warned.
Paper Mario Final Word! Paper Mario's a quirky little game with an excellent story. It does what it can with the N64 system and comes up a winner.
