Dave Mirra turned pro in 1992 at the age of 18 and it wasn't long before he became the master of BMX vert riding. But the next year, Dave Mirra was hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street and doctors said he might never be able to ride BMX again. After a long recovery from a fractured skull and a badly damaged shoulder, Dave Mirra returned to the top of the BMX world.
