If you're interested in a
career in aviation, then ing the Young Eagles program is
the first step in the right direction. Here's just a few of the fields that you can head into!
Pilots - Flying for a living - does it get any cooler? With the right license, training and certification, you could be a major airline pilot, a helicopter pilot or a pilot instructor.
Aircraft Manufacturing - From Boeings to Cessnas, you could build the airplanes of tomorrow!
Airlines - An airline career isn't limited to ticket agent, flight dispatcher, cargo handler, ground attendant or sky cap (someone who helps engers with their luggage). The list goes on and on.

Harrison Ford, AKA Indiana Jones, is an experienced pilot and the chairman of the EAA Young Eagles program.
One of the many programs offered by EAA is Kidventure. You'll get to participate in dozens of aviation activities like making a model rocket, trying out one of the flight simulators and meeting famous pilots!
You can start flight training at any age, but you have to be at least 16 to solo a powered airplane, and 17 to receive your Private Pilot certificate.
To get your certificate, you need a minimum of 40 hours of training (20 with a trainer and 20 solo), but most peeps take 60-80 hours.
