Terrell Owens was born on December 7, 1973 in Alexander City, Alabama. He was a four-sport athlete in high school, where he played football teams - and also anchored the school's 4x100 relay team. Terrell Owens was thrilled to be drafted by the 49ers because it gave him a chance to play with his idol, the legendary Jerry Rice. In his fifth season with the 49ers, Owens scored 13 touchdowns and replaced Rice as the team's top receiver. After eight years in San Francisco, Owens was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, who needed to add a deep threat to their offense. In his first year with the Eagles, Terrell scored 14 touchdowns before breaking his ankle with two games left in the season.
