Lindsey Jacobellis is now one of the top "Young Guns" of American female snowboarders - a group that includes Hanah Teter and Elena Hight. Lindsey is unique because she's one of the few boarders who competes in half pipe snowboarding events. Jacobellis has won the gold in boardercross at the X Games for the past three years and was a favorite to win the gold medal in boardercross at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. Unfortunately, Lindey tried to be a bit too flashy on her final jump of the boardercross final and ended up wiping out just a few feet from the finish line and had to settle for a silver medal.
