While her grace, good looks and charming personality have made her one of the world's most popular figure skaters, the big knock on Sasha Cohen has been her failure to win a gold medal at big events. Cohen finished second at the World Figure Skating Championships in 2004 and 2005 and won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics, despite leading the event after the short program. At the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships in Calgary, Cohen was again upstaged by fellow American, Kimmie Meissner, who won the gold, while Sasha settled for the bronze. For the 2006-07 figure skating season, Cohen plans to skate in fewer events, so she can concentrate on acting.
