His pop ballads are so same-y that you often can't tell where one song ends and another begins - but none of that matters because you won't any of them anyway. The album turns out to be a heck of a lot better than anything O-(My-Bleeding-Ears)-Town ever produced. Songs like "Soundtrack to Your Life", "Shades of Blue", "Along the Way", and "Apology" manage to be both catchy and heartfelt. The album ranges across a variety of musical styles while remaining true to its rock roots . This may not be the soundtrack to your life but it will probably be the soundtrack to your summer.
