By: Sindy

Jason Dolley is the cutie you may recognize from his role in Disney Channel's TV movie, Read It and Weep, and the film The Air I Breathe, which is due out in 2007. Get the goods on this up-and-coming cutie.

Sindy: Hi Jason. How are ya?
Jason Dolley: Great, thanks.

Sindy: You have an impressive resume for a kid your age. How did you get into acting?
Jason Dolley: I'd always wanted to be the cowboy riding in on the horse - I'd say to myself, "I want to be that cowboy. I want to be the guy on the screen." I started acting when I was about 11. I really didn't think about it being a real opportunity until then - but I started out and it worked!

Sindy: What was the first job you ever got?
Jason Dolley: I think the first thing I ever did was a student film called Chasing Daylight, which has won several film festival awards - so I'm really proud of that one.

Sindy: Can you tell me about your film, The Air I Breathe?
Jason Dolley: The cast is HUGE - big, big names - such as Mexico City. It was a great experience. It's coming out next year sometime.

Sindy: You're also on the TV show Complete Savages. Do you prefer working in film or TV?
Jason Dolley: I think I prefer film. In film, you do a movie and you meet a bunch of people, and throw yourself into a character. When it's over, you get to meet new people and play new roles and have completely new experiences.

Sindy: What sort of roles do you see yourself looking for in the future?
Jason Dolley: Up until the pilot for Enemies, I'd played the nice boy. When I was in Saving Shiloh, I was Marty, who was a good-natured kid who loves his neighbors. But in Enemies I was Mickey Holloway, a bad guy who grows up to be a mobster. That was a very different role for me to play and it was really fun - so I think I might be looking for the bad guy roles because they're a lot of fun to play.
