Attack of the Giant Octopus! 4l276v

The Shluffmuffin Family! 696p54

Now that they’re out of the Jolly Days Orphanage and back with their job they’ll get stuck back at the awful orphanage! Ack!

Action, Adventure and Spit-Smoothies! 4p5325

Even though it starts out with a solidly creepy chapter, Attack of the Giant Octopus quickly gets dull. A lot is happening, but it zooms past everything so fast that it never seems to be really dangerous. Even when Cheyenne has to chug an ant-spit smoothie you barely have time to go “EWWW!” There’s also a lack of brains in all the adults, and a serious case of weirdness when, in a world where everybody seems to be a vampire.

The Bottom Line y58e

If you’re a big fan of the Secrets of the Dripping Fang series, you’ll probably get a few chuckles out of this book. But, it’s not worth trying to read all by itself. Not even Scott M. Fischer’s cool artwork can save this story from being a snore.
