We review the new Pokemon card game EX Power Keepers set, including the new Stadium cards!

The Pokemon to collect, including three awesome Pokemon Star! But, the big news is the new Stadium cards. There are four of 'em and here’s the 411 on each.

  • Phoebe's Stadium - Each player pays two Colorless less to retreat his or her Psychic Pokemon.
  • Sidney's Stadium - Each player's Dark Pokemon can't be Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed.
  • Drake's Stadium - Any damage done to Colorless Active Pokemon (both yours and your opponent's) by an opponent's attack is reduced by 10 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
  • Glacia's Stadium - Each player's Water Pokemon (excluding Pokemon-ex) has no Weakness.

    • They’re a great way to build decks around different types of evolutions so it’s easy to play your Pokemon.
  • Some Pokemon are strong against Psychic.
  • Lots of strong attacks!

    • Dark Blast Thumbs Down:

  • Energy Removal 2 = lame card.
  • Half of your Pokemon are weak against Fighting!

    • Dark Blast Theme Deck Rating: 4Pokemon at the right time, it’s an awesome deck!

    Mind Game Thumbs Up:

  • Retreat your wounded Pokemon with Phoebe’s Stadium!
  • Scott and Professor Birch let you draw the cards you need.
  • Sableye = butt-kicker = one of Gary’s fave Pokemon!

    • Mind Game Thumbs Down:

  • Lots of attacks rely on coin flips or other effects!
  • Duskull and Dusklops get creamed by Dark Blast.
