What to Wear 4p5j10
- If you've scored yourself a job at the trendiest clothing store in the mall, wear clothes from that store. You'll get a discount as part of your benefits, so buying some new clothes won't put a huge hole in your savings. Plus, you've gotta represent if you're working at a place that's so stylish!
- If you're working in a sporting goods store, then wear anything athletic, from basketball shoes.
- If you're working or the SPCA, girls should wear a nice top like a blouse, pants or a knee-length skirt, and flats cuz it's hard to work in heels all day! Guys should wear a tie, dress shirt, khakis and dress shoes.
- If you're working outside, such as mowing lawns, painting houses or working as a sneakers.
What Not to Wear 3e1s57
- Stay away from anything that has holes (even if it's the style of the clothing) or is ripped, torn, or see-through.
- Everyone loves jeans, but they're too casual for work.
- Girls, avoid tops that show your bra straps and keep your skirt lengths longer for work (at least to the knees!). You can break out the minis after hours.
- Guys, check your hats at the door.
- Don't wear flip flops, open-toed sandals, or dirty sneakers.
Last Minute Tips 4p1jn
- Make sure your clothes are clean and ironed - nothing says "I'm a slacker" more than wrinkles and a huge ketchup stain down the front of your shirt.
- It's better to be overdressed on the first day of your job. Once you see how everyone else dresses, you can dress similarly to them.
- Bottom line is, every job has a different dress code, so ask your boss what you can and cannot wear.
