Each level in this game gives you two characters to take on three stages of action.
- Action - Smash giant mech!
- Ride - Race the giant mech through an obstacle course towards the boss.
- Boss - Dodge left and right as you unleash mech attacks against a robotic boss.
The power points you collect in the Action stage give your mech hit points that you need to survive the Ride and Boss stages so make sure to stock up!

There are a ton of cool features in this game. Three gameplay modes and a chance to get friend for multiplayer mayhem, with just one game card, is even better.

Unfortunately there's no strategy to battling the waves of enemy robots except "Play as SpongeBob, he rocks." The Ride levels are frustrating too - the controls are weak and there's almost no room to maneuver so expect to crash a lot.

Attack of the Toybots is a fun game that won't leave you feeling like you've just taken a math test. It has cartoon characters. Plus, the 3D boss-battles are awesome!
