It has been one crazy last week in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers finished the season strong winning their last four games. They were able to squeak past the New Orleans Hornets for the top spot in the Western Conference. The Lakers' rise to the top is definitely a surprise considering Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Nuggets barely got in the playoffs after a neck and neck race for the final spot with the Golden State Warriors.

After 13 seasons, Steve McNair of the Baltimore Ravens has decided to retire. He spent his first nine years with the Tennessee Titans before finishing his career in Baltimore. McNair has thrown for 174 touchdowns and more than 31,000 yards in his career.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are cruising through the NHL Playoffs as they swept the Ottawa Senators - the same team that embarrassed them last year.

Two non-playoff NBA teams wasted no time in making changes to their team. On Thursday, the Milwaukee Bucks fired interim coach Jim Boylan and the Milwaukee Bucks parted ways with coach Larry Krystkowiak as well.

As of Friday, the New York Rangers are winning the series 3-1 against their cross town rivals, the New Jersey Devils. The Rangers have a chance to close out the series on Friday night.
