Now a teenager, Gracie lives with her Aunt Shay and her cousin Diego. But she still feels like an outsider, like she doesn’t quite belong. And to make matters worse, her boat and a waterfall, and she knows that the kidnapper is someone Emily thought she could trust.

While the murder investigation begins.

If discovering a dead body isn’t staggering enough, Gracie finds her father waiting at her house. How can he just show up after all these years? He left her and her mother and now he suddenly wants a relationship? But what if his sudden appearance is connected to the dead body?
