The Bottom Line y58e
Dividing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two movies was a wise decision. Like the book, the first part dragged a bit in order to set the stage for the conclusion. Devoting two hours to the last third of the book was brilliant. It allowed the film to take its time, add drama and stay true to the book. Aside from the wonderful effects and much-improved acting on everyone's part, the movie gave the same sense of doom, desperation and finality that J.K. Rowling created in her story. They couldn’t have done a better job.
Ron and Hermione's Kiss 3c2g1u
And the kiss - oh the kiss! - between Ron and Hermione that has been ten years in the making plays out differently than in the book. But it is ionate and oh-so-wonderful nonetheless. If you plan to see this film in theatres (which you must!), bring a box of tissues. You’ll absolutely need it.
