On August 31 Pokémon Emerging Powers Booster Packs were released in North America, featuring many cards that were previously only available in Japan ... and some cool surprises for TCG players! This new Booster Series for Pokémon Black and White brings us Pokémon from the Black and White DS Games, many of which are brand new to the Trading Card Game community outside of Japan!

Emerging Powers contains 98 cards, of which 91 are Pokémon, 5 are Trainers, and 2 are ers. Of the 91 Pokémon cards, two of them are Full Art! The Full Art cards this time around are Thundurus and Tornadus, two roaming Legendary Pokémon in the Pokémon Black and White DS Games. The Full Art is done in the same way as the Reshiram and Zekrom from the Pokémon Black and White Booster Set.

One notable change in this set from previous set is the way Reverse Holographic, or RH, cards are printed. Every booster pack guarantees one random RH card, meaning while the picture is not Holographic, the rest of the card are done with Holographic treatment. For Emerging Powers, there are more reasons to collect these RH cards because the RH treatment prints a pattern on the card, making it a lot more appealing than the RH cards in previous sets. These patterns correspond to the Type of Pokémon on that card, and Trainers and ers have their own special pattern.
In every Booster Pack, there is also a code card. This code card gives the player access to a Booster Pack in the Online Version of the TCG! Currently in Beta, the online game is already very popular because it allows anyone to play Pokémon TCG from home against other players from all over the world!
