New Year’s Hats 3m2125

• card stock or construction paper
• a hold punch
• ribbon 
• tissue paper
• glue
• various bits of scrapbooking paper

Instructions: 4wb72

1. Curve the hat so it forms a point and glue the sides together. Let dry.
2. Punch holes on either side of the bottom rim and tie the ribbon through to make a strap.
3. Use tissue paper and scrapbooking paper to decorate the hat anyway you want. Think ing a clock design for New Year’s, or glitter or stickers… anything!

New Year’s Poppers 4b3u3v

• Toilet paper tubes
• Wrapping paper / tissue paper
• Curling ribbon
• X-acto knife / Scissors
• Tape
• Pin or needle
• Embellishments (ribbon, stickers, spray glitter, etc.)
• Candy / party favors

Instructions: 4wb72

1. Cut the paper tube in half using the X-acto knife or scissors.
2. Put the tube together and wrap it with tissue paper. Make sure to leave about 2 inches on the ends of the tube and leave them open.
3. Fill the tube with candies or party favors. Tie the ends of the tissue paper with curling ribbon.
4. Add whatever embellishments you want to decorate the poppers. Try to stay clear of the middle where the two tubes are next to each other.
5. Using the needle poke small holes along the seam where the two tubes are next to each other. This will help “pop” open the popper when midnight strikes!

Matchbox Confetti 3x231a

• Matchboxes- either from a craft store or collected empty boxes
• Paper
• Confetti- either from a craft store or recycled hole punches
• Twine

Instructions: 4wb72

1. Wrap the matchboxes with paper. Make sure to leave the sides where the box slides out clear.
2. Fill the inside box of the matchbox with confetti.
3. Tie the boxes closed with the twine so the confetti doesn’t go everywhere- at least not yet.
4. At midnight open and shake the confetti out!
