Quake 3 is mindless gun-toting action on your PC and across the net. It's pretty, it has some sweet looking weapons, crazy characters and wild levels. It's also fast, very fast, the action is all over the place at 'blink-and-you're-dead' speed. Unfortunately that's about all it's got. For all the high-speed action and cool graphics that make Quake so cool there's almost nothing else.

Quake 3's loaded with weapons. Chainguns, Quake 3 should have balanced the guns, but they didn't, which sucks. It means you've only got 3 guns to play with online.

Quake 3 has speed down as an artform. The action is hyper-fast with bullets flying, soldiers hurtling down ramps, leaping through the air and dodging rockets like there's no tomorrow. You need a pretty fast machine to make it all come alive the way it's supposed to but when it works, it WORKS.

Quake 3 ain't what it was cracked up to be. It's fast and it's pretty, but that's all she wrote.
