If you dug the web-slinging in Spider-Man 2, you're in for a disappointment. It's been whittled right down so any munchkin can web-sling like a pro without needing any skill. Ditto for the fighting - it's totally simplified. But, the biggest problem is that Venom just isn't fun to play.
